Guys….do you have found family? Chosen family? Here’s what I mean by that: Folks that aren’t blood relatives. They’re not your mom or dad or sibling. They’re not an aunt or uncle….but they could feel like an auntie.
They’re your people…just not by way of…blood.
They’re the people who get you through the week, whether it’s by voice note or them running an errand for you. They’re the people that give your husband a lift to go pick up the car when it’s done at the shop, so you don’t have to do all the work to get the baby out of the house. Yes, that was us last week.
This year our holidays are a blend of time with chosen family and time with our family of origin. We’ve got some feelings about it all — that’s the meat of today’s episode.
